LA Kings x CHLA ———My Day with a King Pt.1

A series of 3 spots that I directed for the LA Kings and Children’s Hospital LA. LA Kings asked 3 special hockey fans how they would spend a day with their favorite hockey players as I helped channelling their unique perspectives to bring their dream days to life in these animated interviews. The final products made their jumbo-screen debut during LA Kings intermissions, with proceeds from the games benefitting CHLA.

The client requested that each spot suits the patient’s age group, varying from 6 to 15 year olds, and also have an adult look for intermission screenings. My solution was going with a simple comic book style and a limited color palette that works for both brands as each kid is shown as the hero of their own stories.
